We are proud to support Lytham Arts Festival - right on our doorstep ... A week of interesting, innovative and exciting, art, literature, photography, guided walks and £1,000 worth of prizes to be won including 'selfie' competition. There really is something for everyone. Artists must register on the festival website to be eligible for a prize.
Free Entry to Lytham Arts Festival Events
All the events in Lytham Arts Festival are free to the public. Some events at the Assembly Rooms will need tickets so that numbers of visitors can be calculated. Tickets will be available from Lytham stores or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

All sorts of Art
Artists will create unique displays in shop windows and even ‘perform’ live demonstrations of their work in the shop window. (Example – Mark Nelson, Lytham based artist will be painting live in Stringers shop window over the weekend of 21st & 22nd June)
Artists will display their work and some will give talks about their work at events hosted by the Lytham shop/business they have partnered with.
There will be a Literary Festival during the festival with storytellers, authors, poets all performing or talking about their work and a fun literary quiz for the family on Sunday 22nd June evening.
Lytham St Annes Civic Society are giving guided walks around Lytham during the festival.
Lytham St Annes Art Society will be opening their studio on Haven Road, Lytham throughout the festival and holding displays and workshops with the chance to win an oil painting.
Colin Binns, renowned local artist, will open his Lytham Studio during the festival and talk about his work to visitors
There will be a photography exhibition and auction in aid of Trinity Hospice with live music in the Assembly Rooms on Saturday
There will be a poetry performance and live music on Monday 23rd evening in the Assembly Rooms
Julie Bull, textile artist will be demonstrating her technique ahead of her exhibition in September.
Competitions for All
Some shops are hosting competitions such as Exquisite shoes ‘Design a Shoe’ competition.
There will be an art trail around Lytham featuring Damian Hirst, Rene Magritte, Picasso and others!
The County Hotel is planning a Lancashire themed evening with Lancashire foods and live music – they are also offering discounted B&B rates to visitors to the festival.
There will be plenty of live music in some unusual venues and street performances. The Station Tavern is giving opportunities for new talent to perform, a church with great acoustics and some surprising pop up performances throughout the town.
There is £1000 worth of prizes with £500 first prize for the event that has been judged to have been innovative in attracting visitors to Lytham shopping areas. 3 x £100 prizes and £100 Facebook ‘selfie’ prize for visitors during the festival. £50 spot prizes for street performers. Artists must register on the festival website to be eligible for a prize.
There will be a printed brochure with a town centre map showing what is on during the festival. This will be distributed to tourist information outlets throughout Lancashire and to visitors during the festival.
The Lytham St Annes Express and Viv Wood, Fylde Borough Council Tourism Officer have agreed to be Judges – others to be announced soon.
